Thomas Holzheu graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Munich in Engineering Physics with a major in Microsystems Engineering in April 2000. His final thesis at the TUM/Siemens Corporate Technology Division involved the material characterization of Langasite (La₃Ga₅SiO₁₄) by various X-ray transmission topography and High resolution X-ray diffraction. He continued his research with Siemens Corporate Technology on novel single crystal materials for high temperature Surface Acoustic Wave applications until February 2001.  Mr. Holzheu joined the staff of CAMET Research, Inc. in March 2001 and became a junior partner in Chemistry of Concrete in December 2002.

    Mr. Holzheu has specialized in the spectrochemical analysis of construction materials, such as cementious materials, concrete, aggregates, soil by X-ray fluorescence and X-ray diffraction methods and wet chemical techniques. His expertise includes the quantitative chemical and mineral analysis of rock materials by XRF and XRD.
